※ This is one of the few standard shirts that Yamauchi proposes throughout the year.
It is double-layered with smooth cotton cupro lining all parts. The stitching is all on the inside to allow you to feel the texture of the fabric.
The dry texture and random wrinkles of the fabric, like Japanese paper, give it a Yamauchi-like feel.
It has a wide range of styling options and is also useful as a light outer layer, so we hope you will enjoy choosing the size and collar shape, and experience the joy of wearing clothes.

---Description of the outer fabric---
Salt-shrink processed cotton linen (Omi region)
The thin Omi cotton linen, so thin that you can see through it when you hold your hand behind the fabric, is strongly salt-shrink processed, which causes the fabric to become extremely dense and shrink by about 30% in both the warp and weft directions.
The random wrinkles and dry surface that appear throughout the fabric during shrinkage also resemble Japanese paper.
Not all fabrics have the same appearance after salt-shrinking, and the finish varies depending on various conditions such as the yarn, structure, dyeing method, and color.
Therefore, after repeated tests, we arrived at this fabric, which has wrinkles that are neither too strong nor too weak, and consistently achieves the same texture.
Yamauchi's designs start from the textile, but the textile should not be too assertive.
We value a sense of balance that allows you to wear it without feeling self-conscious and makes you want to pick it up and wear it. It may seem like a small change at first glance, but we are carefully creating products with that balance.
It is one of the essential textiles for Yamauchi.

---Processing description---
Salt-shrink processing (Yamanashi Prefecture)
This is a processing method that uses caustic soda (sodium hydroxide) to give the fabric a unique wrinkled and uneven texture.
Because it is a very time-consuming process, it is not suitable for mass production and is done entirely by hand.
In addition, the chemicals used are dangerous, so factories that can perform high-concentration processing are very rare.
