VTG Cameo Shell Pendant Brooch 1 3/8" Victorian Lady 800 Fine Silver Italy MCM

This 1 3/8" Shell Cameo Pendant Brooch features a stunning Greco Roman Italian Victorian lady in an oval shape. It is made of stamped purity hallmarked 800 Fine Silver on the bezel along with maker's marks on the pin clasp. The shell cameo is hand carved with peach orange and cream color tones and has some transparency when held up to light. This convertible vintage brooch pendant has nice rope twist accent around the bezel and a locking clasp so is likely MCM mid century modern late Art Deco time frame. Overall in good condition with some remnant artisan tooling marks from custom setting the shell cameo, the pin clasp has been bent in a couple of spots but functions properly with the lock, does have use wear and tarnish along with a mellow patinated luster.
