This dainty rare vintage Italian?? miniature portrait reproduction brooch pendant possibly of St. Fabiola set in 800 silver filigree. It can be worn as either a pin or a pendant as there is a bail on the back.
It is signed with an 800 mark on the back for 800 silver and the portrait is also signed on the front. I don’t know if this is an actual painting or reproduction, it has not been authenticated. It looks like a print.

It portrays Saint Fabiola who was an early Catholic saint, associated with Saint Jerome. This portrait is after a well-known painting of Saint Fabiola by Jean-Jacques Henner. The painting was done in 1885 and it depicts the saint in a classical pose with her head and shoulders cloaked in a red veil. The original painting is lost, but it has been reproduced countless times by artists all over the world.
This is a vintage piece and does show signs of age.
