Play with patterns and create a sleek, tiled design for a wood tray!
Part 1: Create a Design
Play with black, white, and gold tiles on a template to try out design ideas. You can draw inspiration from your Maker’s Guide or dream up a custom design. Then mark your design on the wood tray to prepare for tiling.
Part 2: Tile Your Tray
It’s time to tile! Use tile adhesive to stick down your tiles, then fine-tune the arrangement with a spacing tool. Be sure to let your tiled tray dry for half an hour before moving on to grouting.
Part 3: Add the Grout
Follow along to turn your grout powder into a spreadable paste. Then fill the grooves in your tray with grout. And finally, polish your finished tray!
