Earl Gresh Wood Parade Museum and Gift Shop was a tourist attraction in St. Pete, FL during the 1940s-50s. It was known for wooden purses, fishing lures, tackle boxes, bracelets & marquetry pictures made with exotic wood inlays.
My family bought these unique plates and S&P shakers from the Earl Gresh Gift Shop in the late 1940s. They were used for a short time, then stored in a box in the attic.
This offering includes 6 salad plates, 6 dinner plates + the salt & pepper shakers. The dinner plates have "Earl Gresh St. Pete Florida" stamp on the back. The salt & pepper shakers have the original cork stoppers. I don't know what kind of wood this is.
Zoom in to see condition. Pictures are part of the description. There are some scratches from utensils on the front of one dinner plate. There's a crack on one of the salad plates. Some varnish is worn away on the plates and shakers.
They're in great shape for 80 year-old wood plates!
