  The "Hand Hatchet" is a small yet very powerful tool with a stout bulky handle for easy gripping. The head has a 3" head face made of the highest quality Swedish steel available. It is excellent for carrying in a small backpack, in a large pocket, as a belt axe, or even storing in a toolbox! This hatchet makes a great scouting & camping axe! Is it also great for splitting small firewood & kindling! The bottom grip of the hickory handle is roughened which gives a steady grip even when one's hands are wet or sticky.
