This is an original Gowland Pocket 4x5 Camera in good/decent condition. It comes with a Graflex Optar W.A. F/6.8 90mm lens ( 3 1/2"), and four 4x5 film backs (for a total of 8 exposures.
The lens has some dirt in it and could use a cleaning. Overall the camera is in good shape; there is some of the leatherette peeling off (shown in photos) but it does not affect exposures at all. Bellows is in very good shape with no pinholes or light leaks.
This is the original Gowland release before they became rebranded Calumet cameras. These cameras were all made from high quality aircraft aluminum, black anodized for protection and discretion. All models featured the Gowland friction focus, which works smoothly while keeping operation simple and sure.
All tilt/shift/rise/fall work with no problems.
The Gowland weighs about 3lbs, making it one of the most lightweight medium format monorail cameras around. Perfect for backpacking and nature/landscape photographers looking for easy travel.
