The Charlotte O's were a minor league baseball team, the Double-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, that played in Charlotte from 1976 to 1987. The team won the Southern League championship twice, in 1980 and 1984. They played at the now-demolished Crockett Park and are remembered for developing future stars like Eddie Murray and Cal Ripken Jr.. In 1988, the team was rebranded as the Charlotte Knights.
