Korhogo cloth panel perfect for wall display with other African origin tribal art!
Panel is approx 38 in length and 27 in width.
Excellent handmade condition. Normal irregularities but no stains or holes :)
Korhogo cloth fabric is very similar to mud cloth. Originally made by the Senufo people in and around the village of Korhogo in the Ivory Coast. Kohogo cloth is produced by painting a design on hand spun, hand woven, and hand painted cotton fabric. The painting is done with a specially fermented solution that turns black over time.
I am not an expert in fabrics or African art. This item is priced below others in the retail and resell market because I cannot attest to age of the piece.
