Authentic Victorian lover’s knot brooch, c. 1860–1880, crafted in gilded metal with Etruscan Revival details and deep red rhinestone accents. The interwoven knot symbolizes eternal love and devotion, a popular sentimental motif of the era. Features include twisted rope wirework, granulation-style beading, and floral clusters centered with red rhinestones. The brooch retains its original long Victorian pin stem plus the detachable safety chain and pin, which are rarely found still intact. This brooch was made by the Plainville Stock Co. and is signed PSCO. Located in Plainville, MA, this company was known for making quality jewelry pieces.
