Antique French-Style Ormolu Round Jewelry Casket

Elegant late-Victorian / Belle Époque ormolu (gilt bronze) round jewelry casket, topped with a finely hand-painted porcelain portrait miniature of a lady in 18th-century dress. The gilt body is richly decorated with repeating acanthus and beaded borders, and the interior retains its original deep burgundy velvet lining. Era: c. 1890–1910
