Rare chemical protective boots used by the Belgian army in the 1970s.
These boots are designed to protect the feet during attacks or disasters involving Nuclear, Biological, or Chemical weapons, or a combination thereof.
Made of durable, thick rubber, they are highly airtight. They are designed to be worn over combat boots, etc., and are stretchy and generally oversized. The fit can be adjusted with the shoelaces that run from the side to the opening.
They can be used as rain boots that can be worn over shoes, or as emergency preparedness items for disasters.
